Eric Zerkel was born in San Francisco in 1966 and spent his childhood in the beautiful Hawaiian Islands exploring drawing and other art forms.

In the late 70's he returned with his family to San Francisco. There he attended and graduated from The Renaissance Art School in Oakland, while working as a political cartoonist for a local paper. After graduation he moved to Los Angeles to attend the California Institute if the Arts on a full scholarship. After spending two years at Cal Arts, Eric transferred to the Otis Institute of Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles, again on full scholarship, to conclude his college education.

In 1992 he was invited to have his first one-man gallery show at Ministry in Los Angeles. He then became a member of the Imagineer Division for the Walt Disney Company where he helped to design Splash Mountain and Alien Encounter for Disneyworld.

Eric has spent the last 15 years in as an Art Director and Digital Imager. Motion picture advertising designs include Platoon, Ghostship, Crouching Tiger-Hidden Dragon, Ronin, Men of Honor, Dracula and more.

Eric has just completed a second one-man show titled Tiki Fever which premiered at Roulette Studios' 2113 Gallery and has shown in Los Angeles, New Mexico and Vancouver.
